Social Enterprise
Upstream has successfully led a bid in 2007 to the Department of Health Social Enterprise Unit for Pathfinder status. The bid is a partnership with Devon Primary Care Trust, Devon County Council Adult & Community Services and the Devon Association of Councils for Voluntary Services. The aim of the project is to establish a Social Enterprise that will bring together voluntary sector organisations involved in health and social care across Devon to form a commercial consortium or company that will establish these providers in a strong position to match the future demands of strategic commissioning and GP practice-based commissioning.
